About Me
It’s hard for me to think of a time when I didn’t love art. Some of my favorite early memories are of arts & crafts at my local library and children’s art lessons I took in the basement of the art museum. When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered “artist.”
When I stepped onto my college’s campus in fall of 2015, I was thrilled, nervous, and so curious. I had declared my major as graphic design. The school’s catalogue had made everything sound so interesting, but in reality I had no idea what graphic design even was. Drawing 101 was the very first college art class I attended. From the moment I walked into the room, I was flooded with reassurance. This was exactly where I needed to be, the environment I’d thrive in; these were the people I wanted to work along side.
That first year of college was so instrumental in my growth as a designer. I started to understand my personal style and build the foundation for who I am as an artist and as an adult during those months. While attending college, I’ had the incredible opportunity to work as a Digital Designer for Pensacola Christian College’s Advertising Department. That position taught me so much about working with clients, meeting their needs and deadlines, as well as expanding my overall knowledge of digital design. The summer before my senior year of college I completed internship with Green Pea Press, a screen printing and letterpress shop in my hometown of Huntsville, AL. I graduated Cum Laude in May of 2019 with a BS in Graphic Design and minor in advertising.
For the past two years I worked as the Marketing Graphic Designer for Graphicsland, the parent company of MakeSigns & MakeStickers. Currently I am pursing new creative endeavors in free-lance design and am eager for new design opportunities.
