It’s hard for me to think of a time when I didn’t love art. Some of my favorite early memories are of arts & crafts at my local library and children’s art lessons I took in the basement of the art museum. When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always answered “artist.”
When I stepped onto my college’s campus in fall of 2015, I was thrilled, nervous, and so curious. That first year of college was instrumental in my growth as a designer. I started to understand my personal style and build the foundation for who I am as an artist and as an adult during those months. While attending college, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a Digital Designer for Pensacola Christian College’s Advertising Department. That position taught me so much about working with clients, meeting their needs and deadlines, as well as expanding my overall knowledge of design. I graduated Cum Laude in May of 2019 with a BS in Graphic Design and minor in advertising.
The first two years post-grad, I worked as the Marketing Graphic Designer for MakeStickers in Illinois. In 2020, my role went remote and I move back to my hometown of Huntsville, AL. Currently, I am the designer and art director for Holtz Leather Co., a local luxury leather goods maker. I enjoy being immersed in the world of art and design every day and am excited to pursue new creative endeavors and design opportunities.
